A rubeola blood test is commonly performed as part of an immunization screening. Rubella or Measles is a highly contagious disease caused by a virus and is commonly associated with childhood. Measles are spread by exposure to droplets from the mouth, nose, or throat of an infected person. The presence of rubeola antibodies in the blood indicates that a person either has the disease or has previously had the disease or that they have been vaccinated against the disease.
